Premium Payments now available for Renewable Heating
Phase One of the Renewable Heat Incentive opens today
From August 1st 2011 the Renewable Heat Premium Payment is available for householders in England, Scotland and Wales who install Renewable Heat generating systems such as Heat Pumps, solar thermal systems and biomass boilers. The scheme will be administered by the Energy Saving Trust and offers £15,000,000 of funding to support around 25,000 installations. Each household can receive up to £1,250 to help with installation costs through the scheme which will run from 1st August 2011 to 31st March 2012. From 2012 householders who use an MCS accredited company such as H & R SERVICES (OXFORD) LTD to install an MCS approved heat generation system will be able to receive payments for the renewable heat they produce through the Renewable Heat Incentive or RHI in addition to the funding for the upfront installation cost through the Green Deal.
