Green Deal consumer protection measures revealled
Today the Government has unveiled new consumer proection measures for the Green Deal
The Green Deal is due to come into effect in Autumn 2012 and will make funding available for householders to improve the energy efficiency of their homes with small scale measures such as loft insulation, Solar panels and biomass boilers. The Government's "Consumer Protection in the Green Deal" report released on the 6th June 2011 outlines plans for householders to be able to access funding of up to £10,000 for energy efficiency home improvements which will be paid back through their energy bills. This could potentially require some householders signing a 25 year contract, therefore consumer trust and confidence is key.
